Margarita Recipe

For a classic margarita, ditch the overly sweet store-bought mixes and stick with the basics. The simple combination of tequila, dry curaçao, fresh lime juice, agave, and salt creates a refreshing and balanced cocktail that's perfect for any occasion. This is the perfect cocktail to batch out for parties or make ahead of time for a vacation.

If you like mezcal or a little heat in your margarita, see the substitution notes below the recipe.

  • 4 oz tequila
  • 1.5 oz dry curaçao

  • 0.5 oz agave
  • 2 dashes of salt

For a Slightly Smoky Mezcal Margarita: Add only 3 oz tequila and 1 oz of mezcal.

For a Spicy Margarita: Add your favorite tequila and jalapeño slices into the Liquor Infusing Decanter for 1-3 days (depending on your preferred level of spiciness) before making margaritas.
